I'n not sure who recorded it fisrt, i've got both albums, i would'nt call Connie Frances country, but the song is great...I'm gonna go with marty robbins on this one cause he SINGS IT...she WHINES AND BEGGS!

Okay I have to admit, I'm a youngster and had never heard either so I downloaded them on Limewire and I like the Marty Robbins version better. Connie Francis' voice kind of annoys me. I didn't listen to hers all the way through. I kind of enjoyed his version.
I happen to really like Marty Robbins version. It is a very pretty song and the steel guitar work on his version is so beautiful.
