United Kingdom has and have the best music of the world? you agree?!

Question: Beatles
Bee Gees
Queen
Rolling Stones

Answers: Beatles
Bee Gees
Queen
Rolling Stones

No doubt, there are and have been some truly great acts from the UK, but couldn't you have chosen Led Zeppelin, the Who or even Radiohead, rather than the Bee Gees, who happen to be a band from Australia and not really an English band (they were born in the UK, but raised and started their careers in Australia).

In any case, it's a good spot, but considering that all the bands' influences were black American musicians, I would have to say that you wouldn't have much of anything but some crap Irish folk singing without American music.

i agree totally except MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE DOMANATES ALL! MUSIC!

Those are your examples????

What about Purcell, CPE Bach, Handle, Britten ...lol

Okay, okay, Britain sure has some fine music. But I don't think you want me to list all of the other GREAT musicians, songs, and styles from around the world ;)

well, and the best techno

but, for oldies and everything else yes, but not for metal/hard rock

now i would not say best ever, but yes, they have had some completely amazing music. but then...so has america.

Hmm.. Did have is a maybe, considering those bands don't really count as a present representative of modern music.
It's a matter of opinion as most subjects are.
I'm into all sorts of music, but my favourite genre is Dance Music i.e. Trance, Electronica etc. So I'd say Europe has the best music =).

Yes we do american music sucks really its all gangster hip hop crap with a catchy tune and britney spears dont even get me started on that kind of garbage.

All countries have great music. Study ethnomusicology.

well, maybe at one point but not anymore...i mean besides the spice girls who else really famous has come ou t of the UK recently??? I think american singers are the best...plus we are more worldwide then british....we hardly get ur stuff whiile you get pretty much everyone from america.

Not really.

Considering your examples, really really not.

There was Handel, he became British after a while.

That's a loaded question...

Depends on what music you think is the best?
If you were a country music fan I'm sure you wouldn't agree?
What about if you enjoyed RAP?
The UK has produced some of the greatest artists of all time, however anyone who loves ELVIS (also referred to as "the KING" of rock & roll) may beg to differ when you call it the best.
You forgot "Oasis"! Now there is a couple of brothers you must really be proud of? Some real poster boys of your country. Getting drunk and fighting and self proclaiming themselves as the "Greatest Band Of All Time".
Your name wouldn't be Liam by any chance would it?

Great music is produced all around the world. Just depends on what you like to listen to.

Yeah, i do agree but some great music came from the states aswell. The 60's and the 90's where a great time for music.

Sorry have to disagree there. Most chart music, and personally my favourite bands and singers come from America. For example, Fall Out Boy ; MCR ; Foo Fighters, Fergie ect ect

absolutely. not just in rock but Drum n bass, grime, garage, breakbeat. pretty much anything you can think of, though America does do some damn fine rap (just my opinion)
