Question: I've been playing guitar for 9 months, and i hate my teacher.. Im thinking of getting a new teacher.. but I hate him cus he is NOT supporting and always looks at me like im retarded if i cant get it right away. he has no faith in me, and doesnt tell me im getting better.. Should I get a new teacher, or what? Plz give me your thoughts. EVERYTHING appreciated. :) Thx

i played piano for about 7 years and then one teacher i had ruined it for me and i havent had a lesson since, although i still play i cant learn anything more comlicatedd without it taking like months
also you should switch because youll begin to dislike guittar because of some idiot who discouraged you =[

I would get a new teacher your prolly not having fun playing Guitar if hes a cow!
YES! Please get a new teacher right away! Teachers have to support and give feedback on their students. Don't take any more lessons from him, you're just wasting your money, get a teacher that will actually help you in playing the guitar. Good Luck! =)

I feel as if you should. Mostly for the reason of you saying he has to faith in you. That's a big no no.
If he was just a nobody, being a total jerk and putting you down and not believing in you, wouldn't you ignore him and get as far away as possible?
The only other thing is make sure you have a teacher before you quit/discharge the dude. No one likes breaks.

You really should get a new teacher
You should quit or ask him how you are doing becuase he might just be mean becuase he thinks if he tells u that you play well you wont practice anymore.
He doesn't seem like he's doing well in his job of a teacher. If not torturing, I'd be switching.
Although you can talk to him...but at the moment, that sounds a bit lame.
