Who is the greatest rapper of all time?!

Answers: and give specific reasons for your answer

Biggie Smalls or 2-Pac. They may not have had that "pretty boy" look but rhyme for rhyme they could both flow better than any other and freestyle skills that can not be matched. Sure there are people that put them down for their use of language or the lifestyle they both lived, but their rap styleswas above and beyond that of LL, Kanye, Lil Wayne, 50 Cents, or any others. That's my opinion----R.I.P.

I dont really know because i havent listened to that many rappers but id have to say common. He raps about real stuff without getting to corny and boring like some rappers. Also mos def is one of the best in my opinion too. You should listen to respiration it has the both of them and talib kweli whos also really good just not as good...

you cant be the "best" rapper, its not a contest.

Kanye, because his flow is crazy, he raps about real stuff, he's outside of the box, he's charismatic, and just really makes awesome music. But I think Weezy isnt far behind, Jay-Z either, just anybody but Biggie cause he was garbage, and even though Tupac was good back in his day the only reason hes hailed as the best alive was because he was cut down in his prime, if he was still alive, I believe he would've fell off by now...

Easily lil wayne...his lyrics are unreal and so smart/creative.

Rakim..more or less invented internals, wan't really a puncher, but alway's had a nice flow...good enough multies, did great with the poly's..overall an awesome rapper..

CASSIDY, simply coz hes got everything - the looks, the personality, the talent and the attitude

what are you basing your question on?

Longevity, consistency - Jay-Z

Lyrics, Artistry - Eminem (you try and make hard rap records without saying *****)

Pure Skill and Wit - Busta Rhymes

Depth, Most Articulate - Tie ( Nas / Common)

Honorable Mentions: 50 Cent, Ludacris, Andre 3000....list goes on and on

He's not my favorite, but I think you have to give this title to L.L. Cool J. Of course he's not as active in the rap game now, but what other mc can you say has been active, been good, and had commercial success in every decade since rap came on the scene? I know some heads will disagree because he is or was never hard, or underground, or any of that. But even while being a spectator in a game that he helped to create, he still has the skills to battle rap with anyone who questions his talent. All in all, he is a pioneer.

there is no doubt that the GOAT is Notorious BIG. no one gets close to him in his lyrics and flow and everythin. his 2 albums were classics and no 1 can deny that he was great. also he was realy the king of NYC not like jay and iddyrunnin round sayin they run new york. biggie was the king and there aint gonna be another one cuz he was the greatest rapper ever.
and all ya goin kanye and wayne are the best ur jus stans imo. who gonna remember kanye 10 years after he dies. nobody gonna be playin stronger 10 years from now. lil wayne better than kanye but he aintgot **** on biggie.
biggie followed by krs one who bak in the day wud lyrically assasinate any of d rappers around nw . lil wayne wud get lyrically raped by him in a battle.
1.BIGGIE
2.KRS-ONE
3.LL COOL J(22 years he been in the game and he still fresh)

Simply Tupac and Lil Wayne . They both would eat U Up in a freestyle. U cant touch either of them. Weezy is a lyrical Genius and Tupac is a groundbreaker. JAy-Z is whack.

One Each Of Tupac and Weezy Cd's > JAY-Z's Career

there could still be one of the worlds best rapper out in the world that no one really knows. so i don't know.
