And like i have Said Hip-Hop Is Dead is close enough to a classic and Nas' best album after Illmatic. I mean, if some consider Get Rich or Die Tryin' a classic, Hip-Hop Is Dead is Illmatic exponentially to the 99th level.
an album can be classic in its own right IMO lost tapes , gods son , HHID even stillmatic aren't to far away from illmatic like some people say "No Were near illmatic" but that's BS to me

IWW Has Some of Nas's Best Individual Classics And Some Of The Best Of His Carer Like The Message , I Gave You Power , If I Ruled The World , Take It in Blood Ect.
Buy. For example, if Nas would have put, "If I Ruled The World" on Illmatic, that cd would be ever further ahead of the competition.
Sell...my reason for this is because these albums dont stand out on their own...I always get confused to which songs were on what album...thats just my opinion though...Illmatic stands out on its own...but lyrically they were tight...
sell..I don't believe that Nas ever got close to illmatic..he changed his style SO MUCH!! I think that his old style will never be conquered by his new style..
I'm buying it. It was written & Lost tapes were both slightly under Illmatic lyrically. Those 2 albums are even better than Stillmatic 2 me. But Illmatic does top both of them still. But both are not far from Illmatic.
Maybe if It Was Written & Lost tapes were combined somehow like half & half of there best songs then it probably would've been better than Illmatic.lol
Buy. It was written has some of nas' best songs to date. He just had filler songs that let it down. If he'd narrowed it down, it would have been a solid album. Combined with the production on lost tapes and lyricism in it was written, he could have produced an album on par with illmatic.
