Yes, it is music written specifically for the film by Craig Armstrong and A.R. Rahman - I am not sure who penned this wonderful title theme specifically, but I think it has an Asian style about it - It is reminiscent of Tan Dun who scored "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" among others.
I think it was music specifically written for the movie. I do not recognise it to be anything else.
The dialogue is very loud ; difficult to hear it properley.
It's nothing that I recognize. I would suspect that it was written specifically for the film. It is definitely NOT from the Elizabethan Period!
