Question: I listen to ska and punk...can you recomend something?

Answers: I listen to ska and punk...can you recomend something?

Yes i can. First of all do not listen to main stream rap, anything you hear on the radio. This music is a disgusting form of commercialism only interested in making money, and marketed towards morons. Try listening to Immortal Technique - "Dance with the Devil" This song will change your life, i guarentee. Also download songs from Atmosphere, excellent underground rap with a band feel to it. If you like these groups, i can recommend countless more, email me at dnon75@netscape.net

UNLUCKY.

anything by Eazy E
or like hip hopish is Chris Brown or baby bash
pitbull

"Jurassic 5"

I stopped listening to rap in 1997. Actually I mean to say that anything after the 1990's has been horrible. it's all junk now. I guess it would make sense for a ska / punk lover to like it now.

Eminem. haha.

no trush like soulja boi up in this..OHH!! or a bay bay shizzle my nizzle kinda stuff...that's great for the parties and when kicking it with the friends but thats good today and gone tommorow.

uhh y rap sucks

Lil Wayne Lil Wayne Lil Wayne... unless you want singles jus listen to chris brown, t-pain, soulja boy. There some good rap stations too. Try 93.5, 102.7, and 105.9

Lupe Fiasco is tight too.

We can save you!!! We have the Technology!!!! Rush to the store and get Everything Busta Rhymes speaks on, starting with Leader of the New School. Listen and soak in Pure Hiphop continuously until you need a higher dosage. Then consult your Microphone Doctor for more medication.... <Phew, almost lost that one>

DO NOT LISTEN TO ANYTHING POPULAR it is all crap.
Since you like ska I would suggest The O.C. Supertones. They are a ska band that does some rapping (and not about how rich there are or about mistreating women :-o )then try MarsIll (marsill) smart, positive, and can that boy flow. (Deepspace5 too) just NEVER LISTEN TO IT IF IT'S POPULAR because if it is then it's just some "look at me I am such a thug, I am better than you so buy my CD" crap.

happy listening

Immortal Technique is great. Other than that song listen to Point of No Return, Caught in the Hustle, Freedom of Speech, Obnoxious, The 4th Branch. Those are all good songs by him.

Other than Tech, you can try listening to artists like Talib Kweli, Common, Kanye west, Nas, Old Eminem, Biggie..etc.

Here are some songs you can give a try:
Talib Kweli : Hostile Gospel Part 1, Soon A New Day, The Blast, Eternalist, Soul Rebels, Love Language.
Common: Be, The People, Driving Me Wild, Southside,
Eminem: Anything off of Marshall Mathers LP or Eminem Show. Stan, Sing for the moment, Drug Ballad, Kim, The way I am. Then some of his older ones. Infinite might be the best lyrical Eminem ever.
Nas: Listen to songs off of Illmatic, Stillmatic, THe Lost tales, it was written. all great CDs.

I started out listening to eminem when I was about 11. And after awhile of his sap-stories I started listening to tupac. I'd have to say tupac is by far my favorite rapper... Seriously, if someones saying they're from the ghetto or they've been in a gang or whatever, and they dont understand tupacs music or agree with it, they're lying bout where they're coming from. I'm sure there is the odd exception, but I live in the ghetto and haven't met one yet. Tupacs lyrics are real.

Young Jeezy is also an ok rapper. Bone Thugs N Harmony have one good song called thug love. Nas has some good songs too. Weed N Speed is a good song too its by DZK but have fun finding it. Bin Laden by three 6 mafia. Spider Loc ft Young Buck - get high. Snoop Dogg and Lil Jon have a song called Go To Church, its pretty radio compared to the rap I like, but its a decent song still. Cypress Hill - Hits From The Bong! Not rap really, but close enough, great song to toke a bong to...

I listen to a lot of rap that I didnt mention. But if you like the crap they play on the radio, I can't help you there. I dont listen to it, I dont care who 50cent slept with or how hot the girl in the club was. Way too holywood, too much crap, nothing in the songs worth listening to. If thats what you're listening to, dont tell people you listen to rap, tell them you listen to pu**y b*tches that lie bout where they came from to get their name known, try to seem hard n gangsta, n then when it comes down to it they got nothin better to spit than bout the girls he hit up in the club n all their flow.

recent stuff:
common
kanye west
lupe fiasco
the procussionists
nas
