Do you wish you were more or less picky about your music?!
Question: as in: do you wish you would be able to enjoy more or less music..cuz I truthfully wish I could get into more music...when I listen to a song I have to listen and grade EVERY VERSE, and If there's a considerable amount of them that I don't find up to my par (which is high), I ca'nt listen to the song...EVERY SINGLE LINE I don't like from a song I will then remember forever, and thus ruin the song (at least for the split second the verse is for) forever for me....

Evil...you...me...and a few other people on here are what I like to refer to as hip hop snobs...dissecting lyrics....following word play...punchlines...verses...Then if its not just right...we dont like it....Well I have relaxed with this a bit...I hate being so critical about every song...so I just listen for enjoyment now....but aint nothing wrong with being a hip hop snob...

Yeah, I really wish I didn't go and analyze the **** out of every verse I hear. Then I would enjoy more music, and not hate on so many wack rappers.
My philosophy is very different from yours.
Instead of looking for the bad lines that I don't like...I skip over the bad lines and search for the song lines I can relate to!
This is way more fun and makes music more enjoyable. Though one thing we do share...is that I have to know the lyrics to a song to really get into it. ;P If, that is, it has lyrics at all.
That's what makes people like us music specialists. I wouldn't have it any other way. It's a gift we're blessed with. Everyone doesn't have it.
