yes it is. The more you pay, the better the seat.

Yes...and there are going to be some very big staff of security on the floor...so don't even think about cheating and taking someone else's seat. They check you anyway.

Yeah I went to a concert last week with GA, and my ticket had a seat on it, but there weren't any seats and everyone was just standing or moshing.

Depends on what the venue is and what event. Hifi Buys, for example, is half lawn and half seats; if you have a lawn ticket, it'll say "Lawn" or "General Admission", and if you have a seat, it'll have the row and seat number. Philips Arena will usually have you sit in the seat designated on your ticket, but sometimes they go just General Admission. Same with Chastain Park.
