Original Band Aid song & USA For Africa!!!?!

Question: I saw both videos the other day and got to thinking about some huge stars from both sides of the pond who weren't involved on either record.

Prince, The Bee Gees, Bob Seger, Elton John, Robert Plant, Freddie Mercury, Kate Bush, Barbara Streisand, Rod Stewart, Don Mclean, Eurythmics ....

Can you think of any other superstars of the time who weren't there???

Though not technically 'superstars' they WERE big at the time, Spandau Ballet, who I think were asked to take part but said no. I may be wrong, but I'm sure I saw an interview by Tony Hadley about it. But now I'm begining to have my doubts & some body will come along and correct me.

well freddie mercury is renound for having taken some persuading to do LIVE AID, it took brian may to finally seal the deal, the bgs wheren't in the charts at the time. Barbara streisand less said the better. and i might point out that there are only so many people you can get into a studio

Freddie Mercury was there with Queen and stole the show! (on the Live Aid Concert).

micheal jackson was a very big star at the time
