They're all good!

I might suggest starting with "Rubber Soul", as it's good solid stuff, still reminiscent of their early material but with hints of what was to come.

From there, you could jump forward to "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band", which routinely tops polls of the best albums ever made; or the White Album, which shows a harder edge.

Then fill in some older material such as "Help!" or "Beatles for Sale" to give you an idea of why they were so unbelievably popular.

Don't waste your money on Yellow Submarine though... ;-)

Definitly abbey road, the haromizing and collobaration between paul , john and george , all come to some of the best written songs, especially the medely,

Seriously, ANY OF THEM. I enjoy every single song on every single beatles album.

Some people will tell you to start with "Meet the Beatles" and work up by chronological order of release date. While that's not at all a bad idea, I feel it's better to start with the 1999 release of "Yellow Submarine."

It makes a better starter album because it's more playful.

By the way, you should also start listening to The Who, if you don't already.

Edit: Check out the parody band The Rutles too. They have two albums: "The Rutles" and "Anthology," and a mockumentary called "All You Need Is Cash."

if youre just starting out then " rubber soul " or " revolver "as these albums starts to show what is still to come and a little of what they had been doing in the past.

rubber soul is the album that was the transition from the lovable mop tops to the more psychedelic serious musicians era

and dont bother with yellow submarine as it is a soundtrack to the film of the same name and only contains two or three actual songs the rest are film scores/instrumentals.

A "Beatles" fan. Wow!

I have the double cassette, "Beatles Anthology." It starts out in their early years, and continues through to their breakup and beyond. I'm sure it's in CD also.

The "Beatles" and "The Eagles." Heaven here on on earth.

I say either "Rubber Soul" or "Abbey Road".

I'd say get rubber soul and revolver would be a good start.
abbey road is great to.
well they're all great!

I recommend that you start with "The Beatles 1." It's a single-disc collection of their number 1 hits. That's how I started.

If you like their music, then you could buy their studio albums, starting from:

1. Meet The Beatles!
2. A Hard Day's Night
3. Help!
4. Rubber Soul
5. Revolver
6. Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band
7. The Beatles/The White Album
8. Abbey Road
9. Let It Be
