I sort of agree with damsel. Most rappers out should be able to rap about something with substance. And frankly there is more to life than money cars and hoes (formerly known as women). Dont get me wrong a nice dance song can comeout and entertain the kids but right now that sh*t is polluting the airwaves. Its ok to rap about these things.... just not in every song

yes its this bad

I don't think there is anything wrong with it, but when do you stop and Rap about something else. It's getting kind of ridiculous.

About 95% of the rappers suck. So yeah its pretty bad

it wouldn't be bad, IF IT WASN'T THE ONLY THING THOSE RAPPERS ARE ABLE TO RAP ABOUT. They should be able to give some substance with their lyrics and only occasionally have a commercial rap song.

Ok So they rap about things that they want. Well you got a point there. I want unicorns to exist, but if I rapped about that people would think I sucked. What they should be rapping about is something other then how much money they have. Money is great and all, but no matter how much they make, there will always be someone richer then them, like there labels. It would blow my mind if 50 sent picked up a book and rapped about how black men and woman need to educate themselves or they will stay poor and in the ghetto.

Obviously that's why everybody calls it crap music. I liked eminem though because he didnt sing about that stuff, although he sung about killing his wife o_O...but fort minor is a rap group and they dont sing about that stuff, check them out.

Rappers in the 90's were able to Rap about other subjects, no one is creative.... Why would I listen to a bunch of songs telling me what I want? That's doesn't even make sense.. "I want money, so I'm only going to listen to songs about getting money!" I don't get your arguement... Listen to this..

+ Leaders of the New School
"Case of the PTA" - Song about high school days when teachers bother you
"Sobb Story" - No one wants to be your friend until you have a car
+ Tribe Called Quest
"Electric Relaxation" - Trying to get witha girl you like
"Award Tour" - Having fun rhyming
+ Artifacts
"Wrong Side of the Tracks" - Song about the art of Graffiti
+ Ice Cube
"It was a good day" - defines what a good day is to cube
"Check Yo Self" - Telling the youth to not do stupid things or get thrown in Jail
GZA
"Labels" - Used the name of popular record labels intertwined in a verse to tell a story, very creative..

This are just a few examples of other topics. yes, its possible to rap about other things besides wanting money and girls...

I think you're right. And that's the rap I don't listen to. At first it was cool, but now it's just getting repetitive. Rap about something different! Real issues! Then maybe, I'll buy it.
