Ok, who's fighting around here!? People are just to damn serious in this category. When i first came in i just wanted to have fun and ask questions about country music, new old or what ever. I don't care where you get your answers from If you know the answer off the top of your head more power to you. If you have to search for the answer... hey at least your learning how to use a search engine. As for all the questions popping up about rock,pop,metal here in country. Those people need to really look to where they are sending their questions. This category is all about country... so let's keep it country. No more arguing or bitching about who's better and who's not. Country music is about life and family. So let's discuss this subject like reasonable adults (assuming we're all adults around here)... As for Porter Wagner... God Bless you Porter. I know you are in a better place right now looking down on all your fans. See ya soon:) God bless you all. Now let's keep it country.

I agree 100 %. I too am waving the white flag and want to get along with everyone on here. Okie is correct the points aren't going to get you a gift certificat efor anywhere. The q/a's are just for sharing of the knowledge that one possesses and shares with others.

i'm so sorry okie for making this forum look bad, i just can't stand people looking for attention and stuff, i have learned so much in my few weeks here and i enjoy eveybody, i would love to drop this..and yes by all means R.I.P.PORTER, you will be missed...Fool4tommy, I'm soory too(white flag waving)

I must have missed something big, but okiefan is right this place is to share knowledge and maybe some debate in certain sections. And about the radio station "kicking legends to the curb", I just have to tell yall, I left work the other day after 10 hours like always and turned the radio to one of the country stations I like, and you guessed it, they were playing Keith Urban or whoever, so I changed the station to the other station I listen to and it was Rascal Flatt. I just so mad so I drove home with no music playing. I wish there was a classic country & bluegrass station I could pick up here.
I am so proud of the way all involved have been so mature about resolving this. This is the BEST site I have come across. People are so informed and respectful. I look forward to signing on every day. OKIEFAN, you seem to be the standard here, so help keep us in line and don't let us lose focus on the purpose of Classic Country Music. It is there to make us FEEL GOOD!!!

I cannot remember who said "Friendship flourishes at the fountain of forgiveness", but its true. Its so pleasant in this category to be gentle and ready to forgive; and not hold grudges, kinda reminds me of the Judds "Love Can Build A Bridge"and a great tribute to Porter today.
I agree. I like to read the questions and learn about the Classic Country. I like to listen to it also. I wasn't to happy when our classic country station changed their format to 'We play everything' I want anything before 1995. I know some of the performers aren't classic, but they pay homage to the classics. What they are callimg counrty now ain't country. It is filling in for the pop that has turned into hip-hop. Long Live the Man in Black, Waylon, Willie, Porter and all those who made Country Music!!!
