His remake of "Stand by Me" from the movie urban cowboy is the one I remember. Kind of became his signature song. Did you know he got a star on the Hollywood walk of fame?

Talk To Me, Room Full of Roses One Of His Biggest Songs Has To Be Don't The Girls All Get Prettier At Closing A Time, Plus Put Your Dreams Away, A Headache Tomorrow (or A Heartache Tonight), Bring It On Home To Me and She Pulling Me Back Again That Are just A few Of His Songs There Are Many More

yes a great one i like is Room Full Of Roses

Yes, and I,ve been to the old Gilleys Dance Hall in Pasadena TX. Saw him and Johnny Lee play the sound track off Urban Cowboy. Best damn show i ever seen:)

my favorite song by him is the george jones re-make...window up above.

You mentioned most of my favorites, but his straight-faced cover of the classic "You Don't Know Me" in my mind is the bread-and-butter sound of where this underrated cowboy was coming from.
