Question: If you think rap is all about "tappin that ***", or "bustin' a cap", or "my car costs more than yours", or "bling bling", who (if you ever cared to find out) were you listening to, to get your biased opinion? ? ? ? ?

If you ever wanted to know the "REAL RAP/HIP-HOP" (remember I said 'If'), try some music from the artists named "Common", "Talib Kweli", "Mos Def", "Dead Prez", "Pharoh Monch", "Nas", "Nusaince", or try the song called "Nature of the Threat" by Ras Kass or even "Interview with the Vampire" by the same artist

there is a difference between rap and hip hop....my thoughts that rap is all about bad words, bad attitudes about women or girls, fighting and doing bad things... hip hop is ok and alot more interesting .. i am a senior and refuse to have rap played in my house, my grandchildren respect my views, and agree with my definition of both rap and hip hop...
I made up my own mind that rap is crap. Do any one of those people you mentioned actually play and instrument? Dose any on on the whole album play an instrument? Do they compose anything? Or do they use computers? Is there any musical talent? Only on the part of the guy mixing it all! The only talent on a rap album in in the English, and that's abysmal.
I hope the guy above listens the Beethoven, because he's delusional if he thinks any popular form of music is diff.
Alot of rappers use live instruments ( drums, guitar, horns, synth's ) To say that ALL of them don't play there own instruments is wrong. Turn off the radio, and do some research before you speak. And by the way, turntables could be considered instruments.
