How to play this solo in One by metallica...ITS CONFUSING!!!!?!
Question: this solo is really confusing...the one at the start that goes like this. - - -11- / - 9 - 7 - 9 - / - 7 - X - 7 - / - 6 - X - 6 - / - 4 - 0
Yet they all have the tilted ( suggesting a pulloff, how can u slide and pulloff the same time....How do I play this beast?
If you dont under stand that it pretty much what i think...11 slide to nine , 7 , 9 slide to 7, X<---- Does x mean let go? anyway the rest is like that...its so confuzzling..

it's tapping. it's a whole technique that is used almost whenever you hear someone playing extremely fast. It's used to shred. Although some players can pick very fast, tapping is just an easier way to do it. I personally don't know how to do it because I haven't really tried it. Watch a video of how to play it, videos are a lot better than tabs. You learn more technique through a video lesson of a song and it helps a lot for getting your rhythm and timing down. Just watch a lesson of it and have a tab at the same time.
you have to learn how to tap with your pickhand.
One is a sweet song, quite easily a program like Power Tab Or Guitar pro 5 could help you in the long run because you can hear the sound as well. Watch a live video as well.
The techniques is to slide to whereever then pull off using another finger to hammer on
not sure which one your talk9in about but the main one about 3/4 through the song is actually done by 3 guitars
two handed tapping. also having a shred machine like the kh guitars or an rg def helps.
