In a Letter To You

Who Do You Know in California
I Could Use Another You (my personal favorite)

Hey...you probably didn't know...Eddy argued with his record company to let him cut "Achy Breaky Heart" a few years before Billy Ray Cyrus had the huge hit with it. Eddy's label didn't think it was a hit.....

Yeah! fianlly I can answer one...lol "Cowboys Don't Cry" and the only reason I remember it is because he says "I was boots and saddles, you were double D in Santa Fe"..lol Don't ask me why, but I always laughed at that..lol I am still laughing at it as I type this and it wasn't written to be funny.

My favorite Eddie Raven song was one of the last songs he released to radio. It was a beautiful song with a wonderful melody. It was called "Island". There was a video for it, as well.

"There was a time
There was a place I loved;
That was my moment
That's just the way it was"

i got mexico is my favorite.

Shine Shine Shine
Who Do You Know In California
She's Playing Hard To Forget
I've Got Mexico
Ain't She Something Else
I'm Gonna Get You
I Wanna Hear It From You
I Could Use Another You
A Little Bit Crazy (And that's all right, living every day like Saturday Night...)

Nope... never heard of him. :-) LOL - Thanks for reminding me of Eddy Raven.

I was thinking about him today.

Eddy Raven was born as Edward Garvin Futch and attended the University of Southwestern Louisiana on a baseball scholarship but never made it to the majors.

Some of his songs include: I Got Mexico (1984), Shine Shine Shine (1987), Joe Knows How to Live (1988), In a Letter to you (1989) and Bayou Boys (1989)

I hope that this helps you bring back some memories.

I saw Eddie Raven in concert with George Strait back in the 80's. My all time favorite song has been. "I,ve got Mexico" I have drank many a margaritas to that song.
