What dose it mean to sample a hook?!
Question: sampling is taking a part out of another song! but not just singing it yourself, its actually taking their recording! It can be any song from any genre of music. but remember it is only a peice of that song, many times, just 1 bar (2 ryming sentences usually) If you us that sample as the chorus, hook, or break on your song. You are using a "sampled hook."

Remeber Kanye West song "Through the Wire" it sampled that Chaka Khan verse that you heard throughout the song
Also that one with Jamie Foxx and Twista had a Luther Vandross verse in it that was sped up
a hook is like a chorus, and sampling it is taking a bit of that chorus for your own song
take say......Dead Presidents; Jay-z didn't rap the chorous, Nas did...the sample is from "the world is yours", add in some scratching, and you have a hook...
