CLASSIC COUNTRY..what's your take on this...?!
Question: when people ask " is so and so COUNTRY"? and another airhead answers with.."yea, she's from TENNESEE"!

The state someone is from doen't make them country no more than an outhouse makes you poor. It's what you do with your talent and what your goal is to scream out something or put your heart and soul into it with all of the right instruments and musicians to compliment the vocalis.

so I guess if I am from NYC then I must be "a Broadway" *shrug*

Heck, to my way of thinking, being called a country singer doesn't even make you country any more. Who here thinks Keith Urban is a country singer?
There are plenty of people from Tennessee who have urban tendencies. Just look at Al Gore for crying out loud. That man doesn't have a simple country folk bone in his body.
In my humble opinion, there hasn't been much "COUNTRY or MUSIC", as far as that goes, come out of Tennessee in years. Just my 2 cents...
