Why do we keep getting the same old questions??!

Question: We get questions daily about who sings the song about a guy who was killed in the service or who sings the song about a daddy cleaning his gun. Why do these people come on here day after day and ask the same questions about Carrie Underwood,Taylor Swift,Brad Paisley, Rascall Flatts,Kenny Chesney and others. Are these teeny boppers with nothing more to do. At least the classic country people on here do ask different and well chosen questions. Sheeeesh give us a break will you

I hear ya Tommy!! Preach on!!! I'll admit anytime someone tells people to listen to Rascal Flatts or says how great they are yada yada yada I feel compelled to give the a good big ole thumbs down. Keep it up giving them hell Tommy! Maybe one day they'll learn what real country is!

It's because they never learned how to do a simple Internet search. They're the same ones that drive reference librarians to retirement.

By the way, before you start agreeing with me too much, you should know that I'm 17. :)

I agree, How many times do I have to hear about how cute(?)
Taylor, Carrie or Kelly (Pickler) is?

We're here to answer LIGITAMATE Questions about a great institution

I've only been here a couple of days, but it seems to me that, as you said, teenyboppers have two accounts:

Account A: Who did this song?
Account B: Oh, he's my favorite singer!

Account B: Who did this song?
Account A: Oh, he's my favorite singer!

(Complete with multiple misspellings that my fingers will absolutely NOT allow me to mimic)

Perhaps we should start a club of asking questions about Al Dexter! :-)

You tell em FOOL4!!! if i see one more ? bout who's the cutiest or is taylor swift comin to my town or where did carrie underware buy her gown??? GRRRRRRRRRR ! but can they SING a REAL COUNTRY SONG? NOPE!

PS..LET'S NOT FORGET THE NEWEST COUNTRY RAGE...HANNAH MONTANA...YIPPIEEEEEEEEEEE!
PALEEEEZE, GIVE ME A BREAK!

good question man, i didn't think that this bothered nobody but me..i cannot stand the effortless question and answers from some of these.... with nothing else to do but -Chat-.

I've been wondering Is Tommy Collins the same guy that sang "A Hundred Years From Now"? And yes I agree with you these young folk can't think of anything to ask about I guess! Country Singers from around here are Keith Whitley,Earl Thomas Conley,Tom T. Hall,Gary Stewart,Loretta Lynn,Rickey Skaggs,Billy Ray Cyrus,Bobby Mackie,Rosemary Clooney,Patty Loveless and a lot of others I can't think of right now, anyway they are all from Eastern Kentucky, there are a lot of questions that could be asked about them!

The main reason they're asking who sings what is because today's DJs have stopped announcing the music. It has gotten to the point where these radio hotshots think it takes too much time out of the broadcast hour for the jock to pot up his mic at all. The guys and gals behind the mixing board are just supposed to be playing the songs and the ads and that's it.

Part of the experience for us old music buffs is to sit around and discuss things, find common tastes in music, (of which you and I have many,) and learn little tidbits from one another about what's gone on on the biz. It will be part of the experience for these kids once they get a few years on 'em.

Unfortunately, their "oldies" aren't going to be nearly the artful, soul-soothing classic masterpieces you and I enjoy.

A chew of Levi Garrett?....HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

I grew up on the Carter Family & not Maybelle's daughters, but M., A.P. & Sarah. Jimmy Rogers, the singin' brakeman, Hank Sr. when no one had heard of anyother Hank Williams', 'specially not the death-metal one. Ernest Tubb, George Jones was just a young dude, before he got his cross-eyes fixed, & of course Hank Thompson had a six-pack to go. That was country music!
