What would be the greatest tribute for Porter Wagoner?!

Question: We all know that he was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame a few years ago but what would be the most special tribute for this great country music legend that has paased on.I am just glad that he had a CD that was released not too long ago that seemed to put a sparkle in his eyes and a smile on his face. At least he was alive to receive the honor. The last thing released by Porter was "Wagonmaster" and he really enjoyed the affections of those who gave praise for it.

I think one of the GREATEST TRIBUTE'S would be FIRE PETE FISHER from what's left of the GRAND OLE OPRY!
he was so phoney today.."oh porter is surely gonna be missed" what do you care? when was the last time you "TELEVISED" a LEGEND on that stage anyways? I'm POSITIVE that PORTER would be THRILLED!!

I think a great tribute would be to show his old T.V. shows, a marathon featuring some of the Legends of the Music in their prime.
(maybe some muckity mucks at CMT or GAC would finally get what the hell country music is all about!!!!)

(Maybe RFD-TV will do that!!)

The greatest tribute probably would be to have COUNTRY RADIO to play his stuff along with all the other country greats...not just for a short time, but FOREVER!!!

Agree with Druski. We don't need any more lip service about how "great" Porter was from current country radio like they did with Johnny Cash for a day or two only to go back to ignoring him.

The best way to honor him would be to make sure he, and others who founded country music, continue to get their due airplay. Anything less is not good enough.

Flood the radio stations phone lines and request his songs and dolly duets!! don't let them say no...also if you know where a country band is playing, ask them to play a few and if you sing karaoke..sing all of his songs when you go there again and make the anouncement.

Maybe every Sunday on a local radio station have a Porter Wagoner all-request 3 or 4 hour block. Every one could call in their favorite song by Mr. Wagoner. Maybe record a short tribute, memory of Porter, or a special meaning one of his songs had, for the DJ to play between songs.

It would be nice to hear his songs again on the radio. But from what I seen and hear now adays.I know it won't happen.I think if they could put up a statue to let the new and younger fans know who he was and what he stood for.Something like a walk of fame.He can have company like Johnny,Conway,Waylon,Lefty,Marty,Patsy
