Question: Noel Haggard is doing very well in following his dad's footsteps, he's touring like a mad man down in texas and when he's not(very rare), he travels with his dad and looks out for his welfare on these long-long drawn out road trips, he cooks and clean and double as a bodygard too, we've even gone grocery shopping when the meat was frozen and the hag had to eat! what a great son and great entertainer on his own.....his oldest son Marty is doing some free christian cowboy shows..not sure where though, he's turned his life around completely since his life threatning accicdent where he was thrown thru the windshield of his car and suffered some brain loss, he doesn't give interviews anymore- he says he's been misquoted too many times!!! some one described him as showing up to one of the shows looking

He tryed to be a country singer, but he wasn't no Merle Haggard!
Marty Haggard was indeed a country music performer. I have one of his CDs. His web site says that he has left country music for the ministry.
Marty was in the 80s had a song in 1981 that hit the Country Hot 100"Charleston Cotton Mill" and did have few more in the late 80s recorded for MTM records out of Nashville,also the other son NOEL had a couple of songs out in 1997 which were from Atlantic Lp One Lifetime.
I believe that Merle maybe had a couple of sons that did some music. I know Marty did back in the 80's/90's maybe?
