For major key signatures look up the circle of fifths, which will present you with every key signature name and what is in it. (I tried to recreate it here for you but it won't let me).

There are two easy(ish) ways to figure out minor keys from major ones.

1. Whatever the major key signature is, add three flats to it (remember flats cancel sharps) and that will give you the minor key signature of the same name. (Example: C minor, look at C Major, no sharps no flats, add three flats, C minor has Bb, Eb, and Ab.)

2. Take name of the minor key and find that key signature name on the circle of fifths. Then to find the minor key signature that goes with that name count over three counter-clockwise. (Example: C minor, find C on the chart count over three, which brings you to three flats Bb, Eb, Ab.)

I realize this is confusing without more explanation, but I hope this helps.

Ok, sharps are "Fat Cows Get Dizzy After Eating Bacon".

Flats are that opposite - BEADGCF

All flat note keys are flat keys. All sharp note keys are sharps. All natural note keys are sharps except C (nothing) and F (1 flat).

Minor is degree 6 of the major scale. So two sharps is D major and (D - C# - ) B minor.

Father Charles Goes Down And Ends Battle(sharps)
Battle Ends And Down Goes Charles' Father(Flats)

YAY!!!!

well for sharps, start with F# and add 4 every time.

for flats, start with the word BEAD and then add 3 every time.

key signatures are easier just to memorize, but you might want to get a "wheel of fifths," availible at just about any music store.

for major scales

^^order of flats.
the #s are scale degrees. start at C and put 0 because it has no flats. and fill in going to the right.
lets say you have Dflat major scale. it has 5 flats.
to fgure out what those are. u start at the begining and go up that many #s
so Dflat's key signature would be: BEADG
that is also the correct order to write the key signature in.

the same goes for sharps.
