What are some things that make your favorite band be different than other bands?!
Question: for me i think the vocals are very important and the sound of the bass(maybe cuz i ply bass) but so long as it's original

My favorite band is Motion City Soundtrack. They're from the same place I'm from, so that's pretty cool. They're just awesome, because they're so different from everything else that's out there. They have this amazing energy and great lyrics. The songs are fun to dance to as well.
I love most all music, My fav.
Country group is Alabama & Emerson Drive, Rock Lots , but I also love the 50's & 60's so I love the Van-Dells..........I love Lynyrd Skynyrd
Some things that make my favorite band different from others bands are: musicians who play instruments, good songwriting, two songwriters in the band (with one brother writing the majority of the songs), theme albums (i.e. the opera 'Arthur'), growth as musicians/songwriters, the fact that they were overlooked by other bands (Beatles and/or Stones) and lastly - durability.

my favorite band is AFI. they just have really unique vocals, lyrics, preformances, and style. they have really great ideas too. i mean who else changes theyr hairstyle for every new album release?
and lastly... theyr just beastly sick.

My favorite band is Leftover Crack. They certainly stand out from other bands. Being a part of the New York Squatter group of musicians "The Crackrock Steady Seven" they have certainly had many influences that make their music different than others. They are a mixture of hardcore punk, ska, metal, and rocksteady and they do it very well. Their lyrics are highly political and though provoking. LoC sings about whatever they want and say whatever they want and sound amazing doing so. They often incorporate themes in their music and albums/artwork that is put in for the sole purpose of angering society. Though I may not personally agree with all their lyrics, they are entitled to say whatever they want, as am i, and i respect them for doing that.
