He's okay. It's not better than Jimi Hendrix's or Stevie Ray Vaughan's version though. The song itself is good, but it would've been much more impressive if he wrote something for himself.
The guitar is not the most complex of instruments. Anyone with enough time and a little dedication can become fairly skilled.
