Mainly after Biggie died.........but by reading some responses in various threads on here, some ppl somehow did not get the memo that there is no a longer a feud between the east/west

singers/rappers realized their actions/words were affecting the youth. probably lots of lawsuits.
Just like any other marketing campaign it got old so the record companies and advertisers had to choose a new direction to sell rap music and make more money. When Biggie and Tupac were murdered the so called east/west coast feud became taboo so that marketing direction was squashed and quickly swept under the rug.

Well there's been a few other attempts to mend the East Coast/West Coast relations even as far back as the 80's. But when the 90's came, it got really out of control. Unfortunately, Tupac and Biggie were at center of it all. Even though other artists have beefed prior to that, nothing was as intense as Tupac and Biggie. I think their deaths made people say, Enough is Enough! I am a huge Tupac fan, but even I didn't like when he dissed Biggie like in Hit em Up etc.. It was really ugly back in 96". But, yeah, I think their deaths was the pivotal moment that really squashed it all.

There was no beef. Diddy and Snoop said that that was a marketing ploy and that the media gave it the title that you just used in your question. Biggie never made a diss track to Pac.
