Classic Country Fans: Did anyone know guitarist Billy Dark?!
Question: I met Billy about 10 years ago. He was working for a vast used record store in Tucson, and had been a session guitarist for many of the Capitol artists like Wynn Stewart, Charlie Louvin and I think David Houston. He passed away a couple of years ago, but I was wondering if anyone here had ever run into him during their travels.

Dan, I don't know if this is who you are talking about or not but I met a gentleman in the 70's by the name of Bill Darch. He was a guitarist and had played some session work in the Capitol studios and I believe that he played on some of Wynn's recordings. I hope this helps. I recall this fellow having black wavy hair and he was a pretty good guitarist. I didn't stick around to hear him for very long though because we had something else to do.
