oh yea, i sure do remember him, not too sharp on any of his songs though but i do know that he's a texas boy and willie nelson is nuts about his western swing style.
I cant say it is my favorite but one of the independent radio stations here (KFAI) has a radio program called Good n country on saturday afternoons and I heard "Slipping around" it is the only Floyd Tillman song I know and I just heard it last week. Weird that you would ask after I just heard it.
Yeah, I remember Floyd Tillman, he is in the Country Music Hall of Fame. Not one of my favorite singers, but he did write one of the all-time great country songs--"It Makes No Difference Now." I do like "I Don't Care Anymore," Don't Be Blue," and "It Had To Be That Way." "Slipping Around" was probably his biggest hit..
