Does KRS-One Suck?!
Question: Omg, everyone says he's soooo intelligent but I sampled about 10 songs by him on iTunes and he's soo bad I can't stand him. He's nothing comapred to Immortal Technique or someone like that

The simple answer is no. Although KRS hasn't been his old self since 1997, with the exception of his new album he still is great. You are probably listening to one of his albums that isn't as good. Listen to Criminal Minded and it should change your mind. Listen to KRS from 1987-1997 and you should love him unless you just don't like his voice, which is very possible. You probably like Immortal Technique more because his ideas are more revolutionary, while KRS is mostly about discrimination and he doesn't focus as much on history, but the present. Interestingly KRS laid the foundations for gangsta rap and modern conscious rap. Sound of Da Police is also good. Most modern conscious rappers admit he influenced them, so he can't be bad like you say, in fact Blackstar's Definition is a big tribute to KRS, using his hook, beat, and some lyrics.
I don't think he sucks but I do not see him as one of the best neither.

No offense, but either your a little kid or another nationality that don't understand the struggle of our race. KRS-1's rep was not built on his beats but his delivery of his lyrics to represent on that of what is in the world to possiblely better us as people. Do your homework and you'll see the consciousness of the lyrics.

IMO KRS-One is the most overrated rappers in history. He is boring, not that good with lyrics. He goes around running his mouth about non-sense calling every rapper "non hip-hop" and complains alot when he feels like he needs his name out there.
If you gotta ask if KRS-One sucks then you obviously dont know a thing about hiphop....He is one of the most influential rappers of our time....Listen to "criminal minded" the classic album. Listen to the song "the bridge is over" KRS took out a whole crew (the juice crew) with one song.. Where do you think 50 cent gets it? Also listen to his other classic album "by any means neccesary" You young bucks need to brush up on your hiphop history...If you truly love hiphop you would know where all of the lastest rappers bit their style for..There is nothing new under the sun!!!!!!
