What song is greater: "Free Bird" or "Light My Fire"?!
Question: If I could cut out the vocal sections of "Freebird", then I'd choose it; the organ intro and amazing, jam outro are phenomenal. However, the vocal sections really don't appeal to me.
"Light My Fire", on the other hand, holds my interest during the intro, verses, organ solo, guitar solo, and outro. So, my vote goes to "Light My Fire".

I like both but I prefer Freebird. Each has a long instrumental section, but Lynyrd Skynyrd has 3 guitarists to The Doors 1.

I am a guitarist; I love "guitar" songs; "Freebird" is THE "guitar" song. "Light My Fire" is a great song, too, but I choose "Freebird".
