Question: Show me a song that will make me feel something.

Answers: Show me a song that will make me feel something.

Might not be your style, but "I Like Giants" by Kimya Dawson moves me in a way that's strange. Makes me content, thoughtful but at the same time feel like crying when I listen to it. It's really odd, though.

Here are some of the lyrics:

When I go for a drive I like to pull off to the side
Of the road, turn out the lights, get out and look up at the sky
And I do this to remind me that I'm really, really tiny
In the grand scheme of things and sometimes this terrifies me

But it's only really scary cause it makes me feel serene
In a way I never thought I'd be because I've never been
So grounded, and so humbled, and so one with everything
I am grounded, I am humbled, I am one with everything

Rock and roll is fun but if you ever hear someone
Say you are huge, look at the moon, look at the stars, look at the sun
Look at the ocean and the desert and the mountains and the sky
Say I am just a speck of dust inside a giant's eye
I am just a speck of dust inside a giant's eye

sade- by your side
it works for me

Sex Farm (Woman) by Spinal Tap!

Working on a sex farm
Trying to raise some hard love
Getting out my pitch fork
Poking your hay

Scratching in your henhouse
Sniffing at your feedbag
Slipping out your back door
Leaving my spray

Sex farm woman, I'm gonna mow you down
Sex farm woman, I'll rake and hoe you down
Sex farm woman, don't you see my silo rising high?

Working on a sex farm
Hosing down your barn door
Bothering you livestock
They know what I need

Working up a hot sweat
Crouching in your pea patch
Plowing through your beanfield
Planting my seed

Sex farm woman, I'll be your hired hand
Sex farm woman, I'll let my offer stand
Sex farm woman, don't you hear my tractor rumbling by?

Working on a sex farm
Trying to raise some hard love
Getting out my pitch fork
Poking your hay

"you lost that loving feeling" by righteous brothers

I think for me it's Cats in the Cradle by UKJ. I can relate to it since it speaks the constant pain in father-son relationships which I myself had experienced and which scares the hell out of me just to think it could be repeated when I become a father myself. Sometimes when we are too preoccupied with winning in the rat race we leave behind the people who matter most and when finally we realize what we are missing it usually is too late. Please look up the lyrics of the song and you'll know what I mean.

free bird by lynyrd skynyrd

If I leave here tomorrow
Would you still remember me?
For I must be travelling on, now,
There's too many places I haven't seen
And if I stayed here with you, now
Things just wouldn't be the same
Well I'm as free as a bird now,
And a bird you can not change.
And a bird you can not change.
And a bird you can not change.
Lord knows I can't change

Bye, bye, its been a sweet love.
And though this feeling I can't change.
Please don't take it badly,
The Lord knows I'm to blame.
And, if I stayed here with you now
Things just wouldn't be the same.
For I'm as free as a bird now,
And this bird you'll never change.
And the bird you can not change.
And the bird you can not change.
Lord knows, I can't change.
Lord help me, I can't change.

Eminem's "When I'm Gone" is a good choice as is his "Lose Yourself" Tim McGraw's "Live Like You Were Dying" is great, Aly and AJ's "Rush" is pretty good, and I'll also give a shout out to the Corrs "Breathless". Hoobastank's "Running Away" is pretty good. There are so many others I could mention, but I don't have the space.
