Question: Why is it if you listin to rap some people will say "Your not black" when more white people listin to rap then black people, please note I'm not being racist, its just a question I dunno the answer to.

the lifestyle portrayed in most rap music is the lifestyle portrayed by a lot of poor black america, whether it is a true portrayal or not, is a different question. that portrayal includes, lack of respect for women, society as a whole, white middle or upper class, law enforcement...
many of the lyrics demand women be abused, money be made illegally, it is a joke to get an education and better yourself, your race, your family.
it is marketed that way and the (most of the) lyrics back it up.
and face it, if u r white, u probably don't have half the problems a black person does, in overcoming the above image.
the people that end up saying "your not black" are your Southern white folk. um, i don't think that if you listen to rap you're black, ALTHOUGH, there's a difference.
One, if you're listening to artist like Common, Nas, Atmopshere, you're listening to rap because it's you like music in general, it's when you have mainstream rap artist that rap about drugs, women, (hoes, bitches) money, and fame that you get into what i call "mainstream hiphop" which is mostly listened to 19yr olds banging it in their cars to turn heads.
correction: more white people BUY rap albums than blacks
there is no statistic that says more white ppl listen to rap than blacks (or anyone else for that matter)
