I have heard of it and listened to it many times. The singer was Jim Stafford.

Actually heard that song in the late 60's or early 70's. It was sung on the original Smothers Brothers show by Jim somebody or other. A country singer/actor/comedian, I think. He was the younger guy in the jet playing strip poker in Any Which Way You Can. Not even sure if his first name was Jim but he was always singing funny songs on the Smothers Brothers show.
