Can you help me with a question re: buying sheet music as a gift?!
Question: I'd like to buy some sheet music online for my mom. What kind of decription should I look for if I want to buy an instrumental arrangement of a song (as opposed to a piano accompaniment for a vocal?)
Here's an example:
One More Day (With You)
Diamond Rio
"With vocal melody, piano accompaniment, lyrics, chord names and guitar chord diagrams."
Does this mean that it ONLY has the piano accompaniment and no melody line? Or does it give you the melody line to play on the piano, too?

Hello. Vocal melody and piano accompaniment both have their own separate staffs (the 5 lines).
Lyrics should appear above the vocal staff.
Guitar chord diagrams should appear above the vocal staff as well.
Be sure to buy the original edition of the song, because if you buy altered sheet music from a different arranger, sometimes the sheet music is ONLY meant for piano playing (no lyrical melody or lyrics itself, or even guitar chords). So be sure to buy the original edition by the original artist =D.
So, to answer your question, any sheet music that is described as "piano/vocal/guitar" should be suitable to what you're looking for. But also make sure it is the original version, otherwise it might have been rearranged by a different artist. And the piano accompaniment will have its own staff, whereas the vocal notes will have its own separate staff.
