What are some other ridiculous hardcore/metal bands to listen to?!
Question: Some bands, like Carnivore or Type O Negative, are hysterical to me. The Carnivore album Retaliation is one of the funniest things i've ever heard- just because of the over the top lyrics and singing style. Of course, Type O is very much the same. What are some other bands of this type that are so mean they actually end up being funny?

There is a Swedish death-metal band called Amon Amarth. They dress up like vikings and sing about sailing around in their longboats having battles, enslaving the survivors and going to Valhalla to dine with Oden when they die. It sounds like a joke, but I assure you they are totally serious about what they do. I nearly cried from laughing the first time I heard this band.
Another one that is good for a giggle is Cannibal Corpse. How can a band with songs like "Entrails Ripped From A Virgin's C***" and the all time classic "Meat Hook Sodomy" expect to be taken seriously?
I agree with you. Peter Steele (from Type-O Negative) has the most ridiculous singing style ever. Here's a little piece of trivia for you... Peter Steele appeared on the cover of Playgirl in 1995 and it was (and still is) the worst selling issue ever (despite the eye watering dimensions of his "piece").
Check out Macabre. They have an album with songs all about Jeffrey Dahmer. A few of the classics on it are: McDahmer's, Jeffrey and the Chocolate Factory (to the tune of oompa-loompas), Coming to Chicago (to the tune of Comin' round the mountain)... Pretty hilarious stuff.

I'd have to go with Cannibal Corpse, their song titles crack me up ... a title gem like "Bloody Chunks" just makes for a good chuckle

emperor they do that whole black metal thing with armor and arm spikes and stuff....and we can't forget about gwar....with a song like 'meat sandwich' you can never go wrong
