Someone saying rap sucks is their opinion. And yes it's disrespectful to come into a forum titled "RAP and HIP HOP" saying that rap is crap. So yes, I would prefer someone saying that Soujla Boy is good, (even though majority of us will disagree to that).
I'd rather have none. But if i had to choose i'd rather have people say that hip hop sucks. At least you can school those people because their main argument is that the same topics are covered over and over; women, clothes, cars, money. But you can steer them in the right direction. However the people who say soulja boy is the greatest, well its harder to open their eyes because they have a preference within the culture already, you steer them in another direction and nine times out of ten they'll find it boring.
Its better to not be represented at all than to be misrepresented.
EDIT: I see, this is a hypothetical question, I'd still have people saying hip hop sucks altogether rather than claiming that something that borders on being considered hip hop is the greatest.

I agree. At least Soulja Boy is in the genre. I hate it when people just diss on rap for no reason.
Soulja Boy Is The Best Of All Time, because I wouldn't want to take the time out of my day to entertain a comment as untrue and ignorant as that. I'd rather see a question like that get 0 answers to make it clear that the asker isn't worth being acknowledged...
I think rap peaked around the mid 90's with Pac and Biggie. Also late 80's early 90's were the best as well. Mainstream rap of the 2000's is awful.
you know what i think it is, is that people view the "other-music" catagory and all the music questions from all the genres come up there. so that's why you see so much "rap haters".
either way if they were ganna answer with any of those two answers i'd rather them just not even answer at all. peace!
