Murder, I say.
Evidence:
1. Courtney Love [Kurt's money-hungry wife] asked a man, whose name i forgot, sorry guys, to shoot Kurt for her. He reported it to the public, and was found dead 7 days later. Coincidence?
2. Kurt apparently took 5 times the lethal dose of heroin, and then placed a gun in his mouth and shot himself. But wouldn't the heroin have taken immediate effect, therefore making him unable to pick up the gun, let alone pull the trigger.
3. It has been said that the handwriting changed halfway through the "suicide" note; and that handwriting was not Kurt's.
4. Months after the death of Kurt, Courtney revealed a 2nd note, which addressed herself and their baby daughter, Francis. Why wait so long to reveal the note?
5. Kurt had Francis Bean, his young daughter, who he loved very much. Why leave such a terrible image for her to find? and why would he leave her behind in the first place?

I think he killed himself, but that's just my opinion.

i guess its both, he killed himself so he murdered himself and its suicide.
Murder. He had a lot of problems but a person cannot put a rifle in their mouth and pull the trigger but all of that was not important enough to the Seattle police, who just considered him a piece of rocker trash, they didn't even investigate it as a crime scene. So we will never know.

It was suicide, and he did that because he was afraid his wife doesnt love him anymore, and there were many other reasons too.

Well..... It was reported that he took large doses of heroine and then shot himself. Why would he shoot himself when he knew the heroine would kill him? I believe that he planned on suicide and then his wife shot him.
