What rock ballad is better than G-N-R's "November Rain" if any?!

Question: I think this is the quintessential rock ballad, who agrees?

Answers: I think this is the quintessential rock ballad, who agrees?

I would personally say The Flame by Cheap Trick is a good song.

The Trees by Rush.

I personally think Enter Sandman is Better.

xxx MR

still loving you
winds of change
holiday

all by the scorpions, very good slow rock ballads

every rose has its thorn by poison

Well, not sure if it's considered a ballad, but Deep Purple's Child in Time beats GN'R's butt anyday

G'N'R's Don' Cry is better IMO

I disagree. Apart from Axl's as-usual appalling singing, the song would have sunk like a rock without the video.

"Still Lovin' You" by Scorpions is much better, in my opinion. And that's just the first I can think of.

Absolutely loathe "November Rain".

I don't think Enter Sandman is a ballad, but do love it. I enjoy Guns N Roses Don't You Cry Tonight.

i like, When The Children Cry- White Lion
I do agree with you though.

i agree. i love that song.

True,It rocks, but I prefer even older tunes....Nights in White Satin...Moody Blues or Mean Mistreater...Rare Earth

"Dazed and Confused" - Led Zeppelin.

SLASH ALL THE WAY!!!!!!!!!! GUNS AND ROSES ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!... .\m/

Def Leppard: Love Bites

I have a few:
- Without you (Motley Crue)
- Love Hurts (Nazareth)
- Changes (Black Sabbath)
- You're all I need (White Lion)
- Never say Goodbye (Bon Jovi)

"Ballrooms Of Mars" by T.Rex kicks its ***.

"I Wanna Be Your Boyfriend" by the Ramones also superior.

"Ring The Bells" by the Kinks is also very lovely.

"Gimme Danger" by the Stooges is also a hell of a ballad. And "I Wanna Be Your Dog" if that counts.

In fact I don't like Guns N Roses that much at all. I don't mean that as an insult to you, I just personally don't much care for them.

I always wanna cry when I hear that one. Not sure why.
I prefer Sweet Child Of Mine.

Aerosmith's "Dream On" is the quintessential rock ballad, in my opinion.

I really like "November Rain", but "Dream On" wins for me, in this category.

James B, you completely stole my answer!!!!! oh well, great minds think alike!!!! (or maybe it's because everyone loves DEF LEPPARD)
