Nah, never heard of him. LOL Truthfully, one of my very favorites as a kid growing up. I used to just wait for his next single when I was working in radio in the '80s.

BUT I DID'NT LIKE HIS VERSION OF "MAMA'S DON'T LET YOUR BABIES GROW UP TO BE COWBOYS..I KNOW HE WROTE IT AND RECORDED IT FIRST BUT I GUESS WAYLON AND WILLIE JUST TOOK IT AND RAN WITH IT!!!

Gotta love the best break this old heart ever had.

Also recorded "The Last Cowboy's Song." He also used to appear on occasion on the tv series "Maverick".

I don't do google,have to use what I have,which is not a heck of a lot.
