Answers: Why is a british band singing about Tuscon, AZ or California in the song Get back on the Let it be album?

They had been all over the US touring so they were familiar with it to a degree, plus it fit in with the rest of the lyrics. Also, Paul and Linda had a family ranch outside Tuscon, AZ and Linda went to university there, I think.

lol- It's very possible that it just fit the feel & pacing of the song.

Also, by 1969, I'd guess the Beatles had been to pretty much every major city here. Esp. while they were still touring.

Linda McCartney lived in Tucson.

Why did the Californian band THE BANGLES sing the song " Going Down To Liverpool " ????

I did not know Linda McCartney lived in Tuscon. They left there and went to CA for the Grass, nothing wrong with that!

The Beatles were very well world traveled group of individuals. The Beatles used words just because they liked sound of them and they made the lyrics more memorable.

because they had a ranch outside tucson and lived there part time.....
