Blues challenge, any takers?!
Question: A coworker and I were discussing Foghat's "Slow Ride" as being a long, loud Delta Blues song. So, using just acoustic guitar (slide permissible) and mandolin, can anyone give "Slow Ride" an acid bath and turn it back to its Delta origins?

well, i certainly can't...but years ago i saw john hammond, jr in concert in richmond, virginia and he performed 'slow ride' is the classic delta blues style usin' an acoustic guitar with a slide and a harmonica...very very impressive (but then, look at who his father was!)...
probably, its actually a good idea for a cover...i'll talk to the guys and we might actually do it, but we would use slide acoustic, harmonica, mandolin, and bongos
