Carey when it comes to hitting the note. But Beyonce has the better overall voice.

High notes go to Mariah hands down, she's in the guiness book for God's sake. I do think Beyonce' has more ability overall though.
Mariah Carey... she can hit sum high notes, let me tell youu... but they are both gorgeous. I like Beyonce too, she's got great songs... what the heck, i love em' both!

While I vastly prefer Beyonce (though alternative is my genre of choice) to Mariah Carey, from what I've seen of the two, I think that Mariah Carey can hit very high notes.
I think Mariah Carey is best when it comes to hitting the highest notes, but to be honest even though i'm not a big fan, I think Beyonce's voice is much more consistent and versatile.
