i dont understand why you "what to get in", you like what you like, you might go through phases, but you defonatly shouldnt start pretending to like a type of music just to fit a stereotype. but if your really sure, you should start with bands like Napalm Death, Cradle of Filth, Dimmu Borgis... things like that. a great way to discover bands is Pandora, search for it on google

First of all I would like to point out that Marilyn Manson is not Goth Rock. It is Rock. Just Rock. Go to www.marilynmanson.com it will clearly tell you that it is Rock/Alternative NOT GOTH ROCK.
Marilyn Manson himself might be Goth, but his music is NOT Goth Rock.

My picks would be Type O Negative bc i first listened to them before i got into the type of music and their song "Black No. 1" made me wanna jump around and destroy something. Coal Chamber even though Nu Metal is considered goth metal too, def check them out, they blend light rap with goth tones and themes and a spice of metal on the side. BTW Coal Chamber is the singer from DevilDriver's Dez's old band so it makes it better too.
