If you really want to get into it, I'd say Try listening to Tricky he's a good UK "trip" & hip hop artist. Along the lines of UK hip hop, I'd also suggest Roll Deep Crew.

I used to like only rock too, but I like Eminem-- mostly his older stuff. ICP for fun hehe. Tech N9ne is good. Kottonmouth Kings. Bone Thugs n Harmony. Twiztid. Immortal Technique has some good songs. Aesop Rock is good. Then of course there's always the mainstream... radio stuff...
