Is hiphop bigger outside of america?!
Question: sadly it isn't..but then again it depends in which country u are. I ived in LA for years and I am onto the hihop culture but when I moved to UK last year I was surprised how people don't really care about hiphop as much...yeah they know Kanye and Jay-z but they don't know about Chamillionaire or Juelz..only certain people here know, and to even hear what's new, tv doesn't help...all its found on the internet!!!

I hear from one of my friends whom is from africa that when he calls his family back home that most of them has memorized the lyrics to a rap song from america. Those kids really listen and cherish the words that are being said by the rappers
I don't think so. In Canada it's almost non-existant.
nope, here in the uk its by far dominated by inde rock and pop, not hiphop
in asia and europe its huge.
but i think america is pretty big on hiphop.
not reall in europe i mean u got to be a big rapper to go to the uk and sell out shows (jay z kanye west 50 the game) but it happens but its nowhere near how big it is in the americas north south
nope its very unlikely the place where i live(germany)single charts are heavily dominated by pop music
The UK, Japan, and Australia put up good numbers when it comes to rap, but album sales are such a small part of being successful. Most of the profits from the album go right back into the labels' pockets. Touring and doing shows is where the real money is.
it shouldnt even be in america.
it is horrible.
