Question: does anyone know the name or could suggest possibilities. it's in famous movies. usually as some guy is running in slow motion or getting shot slowly. i think (but am not sure) that the name might be in another language as this song probably isn't a recent one

Does it sound like string instruments? One of the more famous ones is "Adagio for Strings" by Samuel Barber, originally composed in 1936. It was the theme music for the film Platoon.
