(I want at least 15 opinions!! Video included!) Do you think I sing well?!

Question: Heyy people! It's "Me Singing Can't Stop The Rain by Cascada". I love the song, but I'm sorry I didn't know all the lyrics!! Hahaha...I only heard the song like 3 times!! Anyways, post me your opinions, but don't give me comments like "You suck!!". Hahaha...just tell me how I can improve. I've never had singing lessons before!! Also, tell me what songs you think would suit me best. By the way, the digital camera's sound isn't the best quality out there, so I sound a little different in person (as in better, people say!!). One more thing: I DON'T WANT TO BE A SUPER DUPER FAMOUS SINGER!! So, don't tell me I'll never make it!!! I just want to know if my voice is good enough to sing in public w/ my friends && stuff. THANKS!!! =]

I will have to agree with the person who said it is slightly flat. And this song sounds like it is out of your vocal range. You sound like you have a smooth alto voice (but I'm not good at judging female range so I could be wrong).

Please, please don't give up! You can only get better and better with practice. I've been singing publicly for about one year and those around me who have heard my singing say I sound a lot better than I did when I first started. And I would suggest going for the school play! What have you got to lose? Not only does it only help your voice, but you gain confidence to sing in front of people!
I wouldn't audition. You'd just embarrass yourself. It wasn't good at all. Sorry.

I'm sorry that your feelings were hurt but do you want honesty or do you want false hope?
I think what you did is really brave....
My only suggestion would be to choose a song that has a few more lyrics and not so much instrumental...this will save you standing(sitting) around and you won't look as nervous.

It is really hard to judge the quality of your voice on this medium as it is rather poor quality, so I would say, that if you enjoy singing and feel good doing it, then don't worry about what others think....
Go audition for the school play, it will be a great experience , the sound of your voice will be much different than what you have recorded here and you get to dress up and hopefully have great stage lighting!
You never know you may just have an opportunity to learn more and have a great time doing what you love.

Good luck :D
honestly You're not that bad....you're just a little flat in pitch most of the time... Try singing something from a musical and then let me hear it...Musical Theatre is a wonderful way to improve your voice, Try out for the musical if you don't get the lead get a small part and still sing your heart out.....

As Long as there is a desire to sing in your heart, you'll get better and better in time....

So I say practice, practice, practice....Do Vocal Warm-ups.....Listen to your favorite song that has some real singing in it and then go word by word and make it sound exact....

Overall, Not that bad, Try out!, and Keep Practicing!
Ouch! It definitely sounds as though you need a lot more training; you're wavering all over the place, pitch-wise. In addition, it sounds as though you have too much mic and not enough backing track on your demo, as you're sounding awfully breathy.

Roger Love actually warns about the breathy voice in his reference book; "sexy but deadly" describes it all too well. Keep it up at such low volumes that you can't clean up the tone and you may be risking failed vocal cords.
