i never know any of his songs, well i am from indonesia, so i try to download his newst song; stronger..
it was not good, it was okay!!

so why people keep making such a hooplah about it??

do he have any other good song?
or all of his song have the same tune??

i think his first album was the best.... and its hard to top your first cd... but he's done it... that's what all the "hooplah" is about he was also a well known producer before he started making songs himself... but its like an acquired taste of music for some.... it helps if you actually listen to what he's saying... his beats are nice (don't get me wrong)... but he's actually talking about something.... if you don't like stronger... you can download "can't tell me nothing".... thats a good one off his latest cd...

but like i said i like the "college drop out" lp.... some good songs from that one are:

Im not a huge Kanye fan. His music is okay. What turns me off about him is that he is so stuck on himself. He thinks he like the "god" of hiphop.

my favorite was "through the wire". he recorded that track with his mouth wired shut from the car accident that he was in.
most producers have their sound or vibe, so sometimes the songs sound alike, but in my opinion he is one of the few producers who shows passion for his music, and it reflects on his hit songs. As for the "Stronger" I thought this song was okay...it's just marketing and media hype that makes a mediocre song to billboard top ten, more album sales equals higher ranking on the charts...

Huh...well, his songs are great, but he creates controversy for himself.

Like that time in the European MTV Awards, where he didn't win an award and he caused a scene. Or the time where he was on live TV with Mike Myers, and as they were showing pictures of Hurricane Katrina, Kanye immediately said that Bush doesn't care about black people. He does that to himself.

Ignoring his whatever-he-has-on-his-mind attitude, I love his music. "Gold Digger", personally, isn't my favorite, but I liked how he collaborated with Adam of Maroon 5 to the song "Heard 'Em Say".

Kanye West is a genius when it comes down to making lyrics. There was a program, maybe on MTV2, where he's performing and talking throughout the program, and he's always inspired by everything that happens around him to make the music he does today. Listen to the album, "Late Registration", and maybe you'll find that it's not all the same tune.
