Why do people give thumb's down to good answers?!
Question: I mean, seriously, it seems like all good answers get thumb's down...for example, when someone ask's "what are the best albums of the year" everybody say's "plies, or soulja boy --or whatever, like that", but when I say it's "The Undisputed truth, under the heavens, or Jesus Price Superstar", I receive seven or eight thumbs down cuz I didn't name any pop sellout...I mean seriously, what the hell's goin on here, this is startin to get rediculous....

If you know you are right it doesn't matter how they rate you. They probably think they are right to. And I have named Blu and Exile as a top album, I didn't get thumbs down. I think it is your reputation because, no offense, you act kind of superior with some of the questions you ask. Trying to force Soulja Boy fans to admit he sucks by asking questions about it pisses people off I am sure. I'm not saying I think Soulja Boy is great, or even good, but you are pretty aggressive with your opinions.

just petty games. i havnt reached level 2 yet so i cant thumbs up or down someone... so u know it wasnt me. lol but dont worry about it and listen to whatever you want. dont answer questions that require an opinion, or a question that a lot of people look at.
thats cuz they never heard of them shits homie. so they like, "what the f uck is that? thumbs down." especially on them Jesus Price Superstar shits. I could understand people who never heard of Sean Price easily mistaking them shits to be a joke against hip hop, cuz the name is just funny. Preciate cha.

A bunch of stupid kids got 2gether and tried to get as many people on Yahoo Answers to give thumbs down to good answers. It is so stupid! Please don't let a thumbs down get you down! I hope Yahoo does something about this!

its a matter of peoples opinion unfortunately...they have no effect on the best answer that is up to the asker so i would not worry about it

dont hate the ignorant...and dont get mad at the ignorant...simply try to enlighten...if then they still act ignorant it is now stupidity because they have been shown the light...

Sometimes people give every other answer a thumbs down, so theirs is the only one without.

The problem is the question more than the answer. How can there be a "best answer" to a question that's a solicitation for opinions?
If I think the best rap album of the year came from K-Fed and you say it's from Blackalicious, those are still just opinions. If the person looking at it likes K-Fed and hasn't heard of Blackalicious they give me a thumbs up and you a thumbs down.
I really think "poll" type questions are a waste of time for this reason. It would be different if a question was asked that there could be a definitive answer to, i.e. What's the difference, musically, between the various regional styles of rap? (East Coast, West Coast, Dirty South, etc.) That type of question can have a "best" answer because it's OBJECTIVE not SUBJECTIVE.
