Oh yeah. He did a cover of Jimmy Gilmore's "Sugar Shack" back in the very early 70's.

Haven't heard anything about him in years.
Yes he had a hit with the song Sugar Shack back in the 60's, It was more of a pop tune then a country hit. He's mostly known as a writer who has material recorded by many artists.
I too remember the song "You Lay So Easy On My Mind" I think that was Bobby's biggest song. Okiefan needs to open a record store. I can see it now on the marquee "Welcome To Okiefan's Midnight Jamboree" with this below it "also don't forget to stop by the record store and get your favorite record". She may be the one in the world that has more vinyl than I do.
